Kayaking and Handstand Challenge Day 5 and 6

On Sunday I went for a nice short kayak ride. The weather was beautiful and I hadn’t been out kayaking for a long time. At first I thought it might be too cold without a wetsuit, but I was worried about nothing. Went out in shorts and a tshirt and it was perfect! Love being out on sea, with the fishes around me. Had some jellyfish chasing me down as well!

I also continued my handstand challenge over the weekend. Day 5 and 6. They are getting more difficult!! Day 6 was quite hard to keep doing it properly after a few reps..

WOD August 25, 2014

I started so good last week with working out Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, but that’s kind of where it stopped. I still haven’t picked up on the Wendler routine yet either. Lets say I’ve had a bit of a summer break. But determined to train hard again from now on!!

Yesterday I did the WOD.

Back Squat 5 x 7

EMOM 10 Mins “Pull/Push”

– 5 Pull Ups

– 10 Push Ups

My workout
Back squat: 7 x 75 lbs, 7 x 95 lbs, 7 x 105 lbs, 7 x 115 lbs, 7 x 120 lbs. I did the pull ups kipping, without band and the push ups hand release.

3 Rounds For Time:

– 10 Deadlifts

– 10 Weighted Lunges

– 1 Hill Sprint

My workout
I did the deadlifts with 105 lbs and the lunges with a 25 lbs dumbbell. My time was 17 m 47. Horrible!!!

I didn’t do much over the weekend as I was mostly hiding from the sun. I went out with the kayak on Saturday, but the sea was a bit “wild” with waves coming from all sides lol. I got a bit nervous for some reason so went back very quickly.

On Sunday I went for a walk. I love the nature here… The sea in front, but when feel for a change I can just walk up and enjoy the Spanish “campo”.

Peaceful sea trip

I didn’t have to start work until 3pm today and I was feeling a bit down (MH17 news is devastating) and felt that I needed some sea healing. Went for a nice trip with the kayak. The water was completely flat today! I saw loads of fishes and birds while on the water. One huuuuuge fish swimming underneath me (no idea what kind) and a big group of small fishes jumping out of the water right in front of me. I love being out at sea!!

It wasn’t as foggy as the pics make it out to be. Is just my phone being in a plastic water covered case.

Can you see the two mountains in the back on the first picture? The one on the right is Gibraltar and the one on the left is Morocco!

That building on the right is where I live. Right behind Playa del Cristo, Estepona’s nicest (and busiest) beach.
