WOD January 31, 2015

Uff, badd workout week. I did NOTHING for 4 days in a row. It started with Wednesday.. where I got some bad news at work which resulted in me having to stay late without any energy. On Thursday it’s impossible for me to go to CrossFit as I work till 10pm and in the morning I was helping a friend of mine move. So I guess I did do some moving and carrying stuff :p.

On Friday I had no excuse except major laziness!

On Saturday morning I finally went to the box again.


In pairs AMRAP in 35 minutes:

While 1 does:

  • 50 double unders
  • 40 overhead lunges
  • 30 box jump overs
  • 20 sit ups
  • 10 handstand pushups

The other does:

  • 400m medball carry
  • 12 burpees

My workout:
The workout was officially a 1 person AMRAP with just the first bit, but because we were with too many it was changed to a pair workout. Which is fine, but it didn’t work out so well, because the person doing the medball carry and burpees determined the switch. So Partner 1 starts with the double unders etc, and when Partner 2 finishes the last burpee they take over where Parter 1 took off. But as it turned out we pretty much switched every time we were just around the same kind of exercise. So I ended up doing all the double unders and never doing any sit ups.. My double unders went well though.. I borrowed Rich’s rope, which was an awesome rope! Superfast! I still can’t do 50 unbroken though :(. Not because of I mess up, but just because I can’t breathe lol. Still not enough stamina :(. I did the lunges with a 25 lbs plate and they were really hard. Could only do 10 at a time. I didn’t get to do that many box jumps in the end… Did do some handstand push ups and they didn’t go so well as I would have expected with all my handstand practice last month. But overall a nice workout :). We got about 4 full rounds I think. The medball carry I did with 14 lbs and mostly speed walked it.
